# Utilities

Pulse includes a set of tools that are useful for OCV employees and founders. These are available on the Utilities page in Pulse and via Slack where noted.

### Domain search

The Domain Search hecks availability across multiple desirable top-level domains (TLDs) at once. This is also available via `/ops domain` in Slack.

### Headline checker

Blog post titles need to be clear, interesting, and attention-grabbing. The Headline utility evaluates potential blog post titles against criteria based on what typically performs well on Hacker News.

Effective pieces of the title are highlighted, and an overall pass/fail rating is given. This isn't a definitive score, but it's a solid gut-check before publishing. Use the 'Copy All' button to paste results into your meeting notes.

This is also availble via `/ops headline` in Slack.

#### Custom criteria

OCV sets baseline criteria that can't be modified, but company employees add their own criteria by clicking "Edit Criteria" on the Headline utility page.

Currently, all criteria apply to all users.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://handbook.opencoreventures.com/company-ops/pulse/utilities.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
