# Pre-Launch Costs

**Company Pre-Launch Expenses**

Each Pre-Launch company requires its own spend limit to be requested via Brex (see steps below). As a general practice, OCV will minimize expenses incurred on behalf on the company during formation. For each company, OCV would not seek reimbursements for total expenses below $500. Once total expenses exceed $500 (potentially driven by domain purchases), OCV would invoice the company for all direct expenses incurred.

When founding team members need to purchase equipment or services before their company's financial systems are set up, the preferred method is to pay for these personally and later submit expense reimbursements to their company's accounting team. (See also [Corporate Credit Card](https://handbook.opencoreventures.com/finance-operations-for-ocv-companies/corporate-credit-card/)).

**Steps to Request Pre-Launch Spend for a Company**

1. Within Brex, check "View All Limits" in your Wallet to see if a spend limit already exists for the company. Another team member might have already requested a spend for this company. If so, please skip to Step 3.

2. If there is no spend limit for that company or if "View All Limits" does not exist in your Wallet, select Request Spend, located in the top bar of your wallet

3. Upon approval, you will now see the approved spend limit under "View All Limits" within your Brex Wallet
